Texplorer™ DDMS

Texplorer™ DDMS is our defect detection management system. With Texplorer™ DDMS you can manually or automatically import inspection results from your VIU™ or Profiler™ inspection system(s), and visualize found defects in an electrical roll protocol called the defect map. It provides high resolution defect images along with important defect information, such as size, type, position and severity. Using Texplorer™ DDMS, customers can monitor the running quality and prevent producing off quality, analyze previous inspection sessions (for example in case of quality complaints), prepare roll protocols for a cutting process, or export quality reports based on your corporate identity.

Defect Map

  • View your protocol in the defect map

View the defect distribution in a graphical presentation in the defect map. Size and color of the bubbles indicate size and type of the defect in the defect map, as well as the X- and Y-position in the protocol.

  • Remove defects from the protocol

Defects or groups of defects that are considered as acceptable (for instance when the classification of a defect or acceptable deviation is customer dependent) can be removed from the protocol.

Defect Info

  • View defect images

All defect images from the inspection session can be individually opened in high resolution on your 4K monitor.

  • Use the magnifier to auto zoom into defect position

The magnifier automatically zooms in on the defect position in the high resolution image, showing the defect without the defect overlay information.

  • Defect overlay / Superimposed image

Choose to enable or disable the defect overlay that informs about defect position and size

  • Defect information

Individual defect information including X/Y, size, timestamp, severity, class, etc.

  • Auto cluster defects within defined radius

Groups of defects or small spots that are individually detected and occur close to each other can be considered as 1 defect using the clustering feature. Defects within a configurable radius will be considered as 1. A group of defects is boxed in the defect map.

  • Invert the protocol

Invert your protocol when the end of your roll during inspection is the beginning of the roll during unwinding / cutting process.

  • Defect classification based on rules or severity

Classify your defects with customer specific tags and/or automatically based on your own set of rules and defect severity using our powerful ‘Rules Engine’.

Quality Graph

  • Monitor your quality threshold value

The maximum amount of defects can be set over a specific material length. Defects below set threshold are displayed in green, when exceeding the maximum value it appears as a red bar. The Quality Graph is an easy to use tool for the manager or operator to quickly see if the maximum amount of defects per X meter is exceeded.
