The surface inspection vision system for the automation of manual fabric inspection machines.

The COMVIS Profiler™ for MFIM is a multi camera vision system designed for the automation of manual fabric inspection machines. Profiler™ detects all kinds of (weaving) defects and other deviations in the material, right before it appears on the operators inspection table.

Due to its modular and compact design, the inspection system can be integrated or retrofitted onto all kinds of manual inspection tables and machines. The Profiler™ inspection system is available for different material widths and speeds up to 50 m/min.

In addition to doubling or even tripling the speed of one single fabric inspection machine, the quality of the inspection is greatly improved, more consistent and also measurable.

100% quality inspection

Manual inspection of an operator is never 100% accurate. After all, average human concentration can last for 1,5 hours and at a maximum speed of circa 15 m/min. Even then, you’ll never catch all the defects. With the use of Profiler, your manual inspection table is transformed into a (semi) automated inspection machine running accurate inspection up to 50 m/min.

Profiler™ for all material widths

Profiler™ is delivered according to your material width, and directly ready for use after mounting on your fabric inspection machine without the need of calibration.

Backend & Frontend

Customized synchronization between backend and frontend systems of customers and Texplorer™ software.

Texplorer™ iPC platform

Profiler™ runs on our Texplorer™ iPC platform. The Texplorer™ software displays the defect(s) on the operators monitor at the moment it stops on the operators position. Via the interface, articles are loaded and saves. All defect images and information are stored per inspection run.

DDMS

Defect Detection Management System visualizes the running quality of all connected Profiler™ camera bars. This dashboard is a graphical presentation of the quality in your weaving mill. It furthermore gives you tools to organize all inspection data, in order to export or synchronize only that information which is relevant for your organization and customers.

Illumination

Profiler™ Backlight
A transmitted light source is used for (semi) translucent fabrics. The Profiler™ Backlight is especially designed for perfect integration in for instance manual fabric inspection machines. It delivers outstanding inspection results.

Profiler™ Front lights
For non-translucent fabrics or due to certain circumstances we use Profiler™ Front lights. It delivers homogeneous light onto the inspection area.

Automatic edge detection & ROI

The Texplorer™ software automatically finds the edges of your material and determines the ROI for surface inspection.

Surface inspection & width measurement

Profiler™ runs our Texplorer™ T3 inspection module, which guarantees outstanding inspection results in combination with easy article setup. Optionally the absolute- or relative width measurement module can be activated as well.

Remote service & support

We provide remote service to our customers for software updates, license extensions and technical support. In this way, we are always able to guarantee a quick solution, where ever you are in the world.

Digital output

The digital output can be used to stop the inspection machine when a defect is found.

Ethernet connection

Easy access via the standard ethernet connection. A separate ethernet port is available for remote service support and can be excluded from the companies network.

Reflected and/or transmitted illumination

Depending on the type of material, back- or frontlights are used or a combination of both. The illumination setting is saved in the article and can be recalled anytime you run the article again.

Integrated timing module

Since the position of the Profiler™ is different on each manual fabric inspection machine, the position of detection and desired stop position can vary. Our integrated timing module helps stopping the machine on the exact position, or label the defect on the right position.
